Hi! I'm Yunqi (win-chee).

From a "Part-time Designer"...

I’ve worn different hats in my career, but designing user experiences has always been a part of what I do and enjoy.

As a marketer of a leading snack brand, I created the full-circle experience for snack lovers from the flavor and packaging, to its presentation in stores and on social media↗. As a business consultant, I took a data-driven approach to analyze market trends and user insights, crafting long-term strategies such as targeting a new market segment, introducing a new portfolio, or exploring a new channel.

...To a Product Designer.

While my work experience has spanned research, planning, and design, I've found my true passion in hands-on design — creating artifacts that directly impact people's lives. Now, as a master's student in Human-Centered Design & Engineering at the University of Washington↗, I'm focusing on crafting meaningful and delightful experiences in the digital space that are accessible to everyone.

Outside of Work

When I’m not designing, you might catch me hiking, scuba diving, searching for a tasty bite, or lost in a pile of Lego bricks. On my 2024 bucket list? Skydiving, and teaching my 87-year-old grandma to play mahjong on her iPad.
